MT. CALVARY: LIFE OF AN AMERICAN HEATHEN
The third album in the ‘American Heathen’ series has now been released on all streaming platforms. ‘Mt. Calvary’ is Jase Harley’s homecoming from his last two albums, after returning from a summer travelling across Europe, this is an ode to family and a culmination of the artist’s biggest influences.
This album in particular has a chronological setting, starting in October it makes its way through to the new year. The track ‘Summer ‘18’ is presented as a flashback, referencing Harley’s time abroad with Remote Year, creating a time capsule for the final months of 2018. The title, Mt. Calvary comes from the church Harley’s family has attended for the past century in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This inspired the gospel elements heard throughout the album. The same theme then created the context in which Jase’s desire to bring people together for the best and most macabre moments is symbolized.
DREAMS OF AN AMERICAN HEATHEN
The second album in the ‘American Heathen’ series is ‘Dreams of an American Heathen.’ This album explores the struggles of balancing a relationship in the entertainment industry, a millenial's search for love in a world distracted with social media overload.
